Lighting Fixture Construction
With over 60 years of experience in Crafting metals, we have also worked with many other materials. We bring this craftsmanship to you when we make your light fixtures. The following sections illustrate construction features of our products.
Interior Fixtures - Interior fixture frames are constructed of steel, aluminum, brass and other non ferrous metals ranging from 1/8" to 20 gauge thickness. Fixture frames are welded for rigidity and the welding marks are removed. The frames are then cleaned and pretreated for powder coat finishing. Powder coat finishes are extremely durable and do not tarnish or change color.
Exterior Fixtures - Exterior fixtures are constructed of stainless steel, aluminum or brass and meet the requirements of UL for damp location or wet location. Consult your sales person about the listing requirements of your exterior fixtures. Exterior fixtures may have the same finishes as the interior fixtures.
Electrical - Fixtures are Underwriters Laboratories (UL) or Intertek (ETL) Listed, manufactured, wired, tested and inspected at our factory and shipped without lamps. Most fixtures are available in LED, energy efficient fluorescent and incandescent styles. HID lamp styles may also be available. Many fixture sizes are available with two or more circuits with separate neutrals (required for digital dimming).
Hanging - Steel pipe and heavy gauge chain are supplied for hanging. Standard overall (O. A.) hanging lengths are shown for each pendant fixture. The O. A. length is from the ceiling to the bottom of the fixture and includes the stem or chain plus the fixture, plus the ceiling canopy. Additional stem or chain may be purchased. All hardware below the ceiling line is included. Lamps are not included. Fixtures (including all hanging hardware) exceeding 25 lbs., will require a means of attachment other than the two screws on a junction box bar (Please consult your sales person).
